Evil is something that is preoccupied with its self interests at the expense of others. But evil exists with a purpose. Evil makes us work on our defence and our offence both physically and mentally and aids our growth. But evil itself perishes at the end because of its self destructive nature. Evil over the course of existence follows certain methods to establish and retain control over the rest. Its preeminent goal is to not let others establish control.
Technique 1: Not let originality thrive in others. This helps it from being surprised unplesantly by originality of others. It also helps it from preparing for all eventualities. It also make others parrot its opinions. It serves the same objective as above.
Technique 2 : Mobilize societal opinion in its favor and establish its order in the world making it very difficult for a new force to uproot it. Make people dependent on it for survival or realizing of their objectives. So people have their own interests in supporting evil.
Technique 3: Quell any new opposing force with its clout and destructive force. Deter such happening.
What can be Counter?
Technique 1 : Do not crave for acceptance or good opinion of others. Speak out your mind and be original again and again. If you unduly care for others opinions you are falling in to a trap.
Technique 2 : If you think you are good promote the good. Share your thoughts about the self destructive nature of the evil. Remember if people begin to see the overwhelming merits of being good and the shortsightedness of the evil, there will be a turn in the tide of the public opinion.
Technique 3: Nurturing evil thoughts and actions it is both stupid and foolish. Propagate that idea it is not smart to be evil and with enough people on the side of good, the evil can be prevailed over and their menace done away with. Be of genuine help to others. That will soon score over the fake concern of the evil that furthers its interests.
It will not be an easy fight as nature itself supports evil with a purpose as mentioned before. But nature will not accommodate it permanently. It is something that eventually has to be done away with.
