in dasa dhanam --land, cow, gold, silver, dhothy, ellu; salt, jaggery .ghee, .wheat are there.somebady must accept that. The sastras says that one should give dhanam and other to accept it. for all kinds of dhaanams the receiver is getting the dhaanam and along with it the sins of the giver also.
This ellu is the dhanyam of sani . so people are afraid that sani will do harm to him which is absurd. for each dhaanam received the receiver must do additional gayathri japam to get rid of the sins from the giver. Daily doing gayathri japam from 8-30 a m to 10 a m. for ten days additionally will remove all the sins,
