It was easy entry into SRCC for TN students - Find it difficult to pass out!

Students from Tamil Nadu state board only secure 5 pointer CGPAs here," she said. The state board syllabus was last updated in 2004, with several components of the syllabus having become redundant.

A simple question on how many shareholders a private company can have would be answered incorrectly if we go by TN textbooks. In this case, the Companies Act was amended to increase the number from 50 to 200 members in 2007 itself, but our textbooks continue to teach the outdated and wrong information to students which is hampering their higher education," says Devadarshini, who is pursuing her BCom at SRCC.

This is a part of the news in the page in OP.

Parents want their children to score high and hence change from CBSE to State Board since the syllabus is NOT tough!

Hence they don't do well in any of the competitive exams. It is a very sad state of affairs. :pout:

When my children joined anna univ after CBSE delhi , they found the first year syallabus as almost 12th class of CBSE and had an unfair advantage over local state board

students who had over 98 percentile. Naturally both my kids topped in first year.

Normally grades get repeated in subsequent years as no one bothers to change the pecking order in anna univ top colleges.

I know many local parents in tamilnadu who switch from cbse to state board to enable betterCGPA in 12th class.

Delhi univ this year SRCC admitted dozens from anna univ as there is no marks normalisation in delhi univ as it is a central univ.

Lot of these students are unable to cope there. They are plucking in exams there.
