Dharmasthala in Karnataka, true to its name is a place for dharma (feeding the devotees). One great philanthropist by name Shri Heggade & his family have been doing this anna dhana for decades to the devotees of the nearby Shiva temple. The food (typical south indian meals) prepared in a modern kitchen with steam boilers, serving trolleys etc. are wonderful to watch ! Everyday, thousands of devotees take this food and leave with lot of satisfaction praying "Anna dhata sukino bhavantu:". See the attached photographs.
