Perhaps, there is a character similar to the one you have described, in a movie titled "PUSHPAK" by kamalhaasan released in the mid-1980s, the first
"OOMAI padam" as they call it; there is no dialogue at all, a very enjoyable and sensibel film. Hence no need of sub-titles, please, try to watch it. If not in this connection, you would enjoy it for the acting skills of the artists; Everyone has done very well, in fact, a 'silent killer'!
