PRESS RELEASE
Can Agnihotra prevent the effect of nuclear radiation?

Research performed through advanced sixth sense by the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) confirms that the Vedic sacrificial fire called Agnihotra does mitigate the effect of nuclear radiation. Agnihotra provides more protection when performed by a person who is at a higher level of spiritual consciousness.

Most people are unaware that they can prepare themselves spiritually for the possibility of a nuclear attack. Unique research recently published by SSRF shows the efficacy of the Vedic ritual of Agnihotra in the case of nuclear fallout. Agnihotra is a small sacrificial fire performed at sunrise and sunset along with the recitation of a mantra.

“Any nuclear detonation creates discordant black waves of sound energy, undetectable by the human eye and ear, that travel through the environment”, says Ana Prodanović of SSRF. “The simple Agnihotra ritual counters these black waves with positive reddish waves generated by the Agnihotra fire. This neutralises devastation caused by thermal radiation.”

While Agnihotra has the capacity to protect from thermal radiation and radioactive fallout, it may not be able to protect a person outside the blast radius from all forms of radiation. The level of protection it provides will largely depend on the spiritual purity and consciousness of the person performing it. A person at a higher level of consciousness will be able to derive more protection. Spiritual consciousness increases by doing regular spiritual practice and following a selfless lifestyle.
In addition, finding oneself in the vicinity of an untoward incident, such as a nuclear bomb blast will largely depend on one’s destiny. SSRF’s study shows that through regular spiritual practice one can gain protection from certain types of destiny even if one does not perform Agnihotra.

SSRF, based in Australia, with centres and spiritual seekers around the world, publishes spiritual research conducted through advanced sixth sense (ESP). Hence, it is able to study aspects of the spiritual dimension that are often overlooked by conventional research methods.

good info... and hope it works.......

Can Agnihotra prevent the effect of nuclear radiation?

The website "http://spiritualresearchfoundation.org/articles/id/spiritualresearch/spiritualhealing/agnihotra" creates more doubts and causes much confusion than solving anything.

First, Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) seems to be based in Australia. Where did this Australia-based researchers find "Agnihotris"? Can they reveal their identities?

Second, How could they determine the percentage effect of Agnihotra in various situations? Did they explode any atom bomb, or, at least arrange for any controlled release of nuclear radiation, to claim the following?

1. Level of protection within the blast radius gained by a person who performs Agnihotra : 0%
2. Level of protection gained by a person who performs Agnihotra within the thermal radiation radius : 30%
3. Level of protection within the radius of ionization radiation gained by a person who performs Agnihotra : 0%
4. Level of protection within fallout radius gained by a person who performs Agnihotra : 50%

Third, SSRF claims that "The person performing the ritual gets more benefit from the ritual as opposed to a person observing the ritual." How has the potency variation been tested and the effectiveness ascertained?

Another interesting thing: SSRF also claims "It is important to keep in mind that the protection levels that are being discussed are in a nuclear holocaust environment. Therefore, the benefit that the ritual of Agnihotra can provide, is severely restricted compared to a peace-time scenario." So, it appears Agnihotra is not a panacea for all ills but a specialised practice meant only to protect against nuclear holocausts - that too for only certain people at certain distances and only on certain conditions!

None of the questions raised by me has any answer in the website. Can Shri Ramacchandran or the "well wisher" from whom he received the 'Press Release' find answers for the benefit of all of us?

Agnihotram
A Brief Introduction into an Ancient Practice
by
Devendra Arya

In Vaidik Dharm, Agnihotra (also known as Havan) is significantly cultivated into every aspect of our daily human lives. Agnihotra involves the participation of fire as a means of combusting matter when offered into the Sacrifical fire.

In this fire ceremony, herbs, clarified butter, as well as grains comprise the pure substances that are offered. Our ancient Rishis developed a basic plan that would enable a sustainable environment based on the teachings of the Vedas as shown in the following equation.

The Laws of Dharma = The Laws of Nature

From this equation, we can clearly see that Dharma is based on Nature, and does not conflict itself with Nature and/or God’s creation. For us to play our part in helping to maintain the balance of that equation, Agnihotra comes into play.

The ghee, saamagree, and prasaadam are all macro-level materials which are converted in to micro-level materials, or smaller particles, when it comes into contact with fire. These atoms, when broken, becomes diluted, expand and spread into the atmosphere.

As these particles distribute themselves into the environment, they aid in cleansing impure particles and may also bond with other particles in the air to fight against other negativities. While the environment is cleansed of its impurity, our air quality changes, which in turn benefits our health. Futhurmore, the particles aid in eradicating bacteria and other transmitters of viruses.

The samidhaas, or wooden sticks, when offered produce carbon dioxide gas. This gas plays an important role in nature. Carbon dioxide is required for processes such as photosynthesis, a process that sustains the earth's vegetation.

In the Vedas, we are told to let the plants be our source of enrichment and a part of our in our well-balanced diet. Carbon dioxide gas is also important for maintaining the constant flow of oxygen in the atmosphere, which is the very basis of our survival.

The qualities of water and ghee make them unique. Under pressure (for example heat), the water and ghee are able to melt and/or change their respective states of matter, while in less stressful conditions (for example cooling), they freeze.

During agnihotra, the ghee particles undergo pressure, which causes them to become heated. These heated particles evaporate upwards into the atmosphere, until they reach less stressful conditions (level of the clouds), that causes them to freeze.

As these frozen ghee particles come into contact with the water vapour, together they create rain, from the process of condensation. Rainfall helps to replenish the earth, and maintain life on our planet.

From the manner in which the working is explained it will be possible to form some conclusion about its veracity.

During the eighties (last century) this agnihotram "fad" raised its head in Mumbai; many people got the kits (packed into neat daily use bags) through volunteers in different offices, shops, etc. Much smoke was produced but then, it died down ;)

Shri Sangom ji, Very true!

Sentences and phrases like "These atoms, when broken, becomes diluted, expand and spread into the atmosphere", "Carbon dioxide gas is also important for maintaining the constant flow of oxygen in the atmosphere", "Under pressure (for example heat)", "During agnihotra, the ghee particles undergo pressure, which causes them to become heated", "As these frozen ghee particles come into contact with the water vapour, together they create rain, from the process of condensation", though absurd, are quite fanciful indeed !

For all the tremendous advantage internet revolution has produced in our lives, there are charlatans and tricksters who do have a field day. They know for sure that there are enough innocent and gullible people in the world who will lap up everything that gets posted in the Internet under the facade of high sounding names of people and organizations.

Sounds like science, well, better than science ....

Dear CLN,

I do not think these people who go about spreading such fanciful ideas are always "charlatans" in the real sense of the term. What I omitted to write, intentionally, was that in the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai, where I was working then, there were some very good staff - in terms of intelligence, work, skill, etc. - but who had the orthodox pov drilled into them by elders and they found very good solace in the hindutva-oriented groups, a lot of like-minded people. Somebody there got the brainwave that if this agnihotram was revived and publicised among all,(irrespective of caste or creed), it will create certain etheric vibrations (part of the usual blah blah in such cases) in their homes and will do everything from making mentally challenged offsprings into normal ones, curing cancer, bringing about domestic harmony, etc., etc. I know even some non-hindus fell for it because the staff members who promoted it were nice people, they believed in all these claims sincerely and I feel the originator himself would have been at worst a person suffering from delusion, but not a cheat. The fellows who made money were some businessmen who made a good margin due to volume sales!

That I did not go in for it, despite being a brahman and despite suffering from many health and financial problems was a surprise to those friends of mine who had helped me in many, many ways. Call it mass gullibility or fad, but it is not for cheating.

Later, there were two cases in which the wives of my colleagues were found to have malignant tumour and allopathy had said that it was incurable and only a matter of time. Then also some genuine well-wishers told the husbands to approach some ayurvedic doctors/guruji who claimed complete cure was possible, made the persons spend a lot of money and suffer inconvenience, all in vain at the end. These were the results of lack of education of the advisers and the extreme emotional state of the affected husbands (in the two cases).

sangom: I do not think these people who go about spreading such fanciful ideas are always "charlatans" in the real sense of the term.

Shri Sangom ji,

Well, as you point out, 'gullibility' is perhaps the nourishing factor, more than any thing else to such fanciful beliefs and pronouncements. The persons who believe in it in good faith may easily be innocent and gullible, but the persons who capitalize on this gullibility and produce "evidence" of pseudo-scientific 'discoveries' cannot be all that innocent, I believe. I don't know whether you actually browsed the website of the SSRF referred to by Shri Ramacchandran in #1 and also quoted by me in post #3. All those explanatory diagrams and the findings announced there have to be either true and authentic work of genuine experimenters or mere figments of imagination from fertile minds, intending only to waylay the gullible, in which case they may fully deserve those terms I have used to refer to them. Perhaps, we should wait for a retaliation or rebuttal to my charges from the authors of the site, if they really can.

Dear Shri.Sangom,
The message you want to convey through your post no.7 in this thread brings back my personal experience in the year 1965.My brother was to be operated for removal of tumor in his abdomen.I do not know why biopsy was not done in the first instance. When they cut the abdomen to commence the operation, they found that he was having cancer(last stage),restitched and declared that my brother may not survive for more than 6 hours. His condition also confirmed the opinion of the Doctor.Somehow he recovered within a few days and discharged. The Doctor informed me that he may perhaps survive for a few more days.At this time many well wishers (with good intentions) suggested different types of treatment. My house Dhobhi informed me that someone had poisoned my brother because of enmity by giving sweet in horse hair and lamented that his advice
to visit a tantrik was not accepted before the operation and now nothing could be done as human eye(Doctor) has seen.Another friend of mine referred to a particular cycle shopkeeper who was giving herbal medicines only for cancer. When I approached the cycle shop keeper he asked me to confirm through a biopsy test that my brother was only having cancer. He also told me that a person not having cancer might get boils in his tongue after taking his medicine. He gave me particulars of persons (suffering from throat cancer)who took his medicines and got cured. I went to the houses of six persons who testified about the efficacy of the treatment. The shopkeeper also wanted a written assurance that no criminal proceedings against him would be initiated in case of untoward happening.I had to convince my sister- in- law before starting the treatment.
Once it was decided to start the treatment,I proceeded one morning to his residence, collected the medicine.when I was entering my house with the medicine, the doctor was leaving my house informing me that all was over.Till today I continue to believe that the cycleshopkeeper was a honest person
and my friend also suggested only with a good intention.

Shri Krishnamurthy Sir,

The way you have written just moved me, though this is all past now. As you rightly conclude these people may genuinely believing whatever they state and the logical mind stops at some stage of belief. That is the weakness of mind.

happyhindu: Perhaps we need these kind of verifications / testing for tall claims made.

I watched all the four videos. You are right. The impostors of all tall claims should be exposed through crucial tests like what are done in the videos so that they can be exposed and made to stop taking gullible people for a ride.
