IMO, a great distinction between the West and Hinduism is the way the forms are treated. Whereas the forms are treated as end in themselves by the former, to the Hindus there is a deeper import to them. But in the latter there is the danger of twisting and turning the real import either deliberately or due to ignorance. In fact that has actually happened.
