Others have to accept you as dumb. not self acceptance.People you know consider you smart . So a difficult idea to sell
You would be surprised that on first meeting..most people think I am dumb!LOL

Once I went for a medical meeting and the speaker was asking anyone what does LASER stand for.

No one knew so I answered..Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation(I had studied this in 12th standard).

Ok then all doctors turned around to see who answered that..than one male doc who was seeing me for the 1st time told me.

"I did not expect a woman to remember that"..and I told him 'I did not expect a man to forget that"

you know renukaji ,it is a gender issue.

most take ladies specially if they conventionally dressed as dumb unless they prove otherwise

it gets proved when the lady in flawless english accent gives a tongue lashing to the man concerned.

some learn the harsh way not to under estimate the other gender

I am going to oppose Krish ji above, sorry don't get me wrong here.

I do not believe that flawless English is any measure of intelligence. If at all, it is a measure of one's social standing, that he/she attended convents and were exposed to spoken English right from very young age.

The reason i am stating so is because I feel for the disadvantaged brilliant people who otherwise went to substandard schools and never got exposure to spoken English (or even English textbooks).

Besides, I do not like glorification of English language as a measure of intelligence, afterall it is just a language. If you would not call someone proficient in tamil to the point of writing elegant essays in it as 'intelligent', the same way you cannot call a fluent speaker in English 'intelligent' on the basis of this skill alone.

Somehow the French who completely detest English and refuse to speak it in their country rise above in my mind.

As Indians, we have this 'English craze' and we should develop more self-respect for our native languages and should come to regard skills in them as highly as we would look at 'English'.

Besides intelligence has several aspects to it - street smartness, people skills, proficiency in one's specialized study and work, verbal skills, etc. To be considered an 'intelligent' person, one should have reasonable grasp in all the above, as they are surely interlinked and not one standalone parameter alone suffices.

Welcome to india

Now we have a PM who communicates only in hindi.

We have hindi speaking Tamil Brahmin in cabinet .

In fact it is considered fashionable to talk in sanskritised hindi which no one in south comprehends . Confirm from RRji if you like

The persons in cabinet are all very intelligent.

besides intelligence , they have all the qualities you have described.

your comfort level here will be very high as compared to US

Modi is pro women and would like to nominate women to all high positions .

He is looking for more people belonging to tamil nadu .

Dear Krish ji,

Present day Politics needs a lot of people skills and emotional intelligence, inspite of Modi's projection of true ideals for the society. If I enter it, I will be another 'Kejriwal' who makes jokes of himself.

Types of Intelligence

A high I.Q is required for academic excellence and it is readily recognized and widely acclaimed. But there are many other types of intelligences—equally important and equally great!

“Word smart” persons possess Linguistic Intelligence. These people can express complex meanings and emotions in simple words, both accurately and beautifully. Poets, novelists, journalists and public speakers belong to this category.

“Reasoning smart” persons possess Logical and Mathematical Intelligence. These people can calculate, reason out, quantify and form hypothesis. They are good in inductive as well as deductive methods of reasoning. Scientists, detectives and mathematicians belong to this group.

“Picture Smart” persons possess Spatial Intelligence. These people can imagine in three dimensions. They can form mental images, allocate space correctly, manipulate images, create graphics and are artistic. Sailors, pilots, sculptors, painters and architects belong to this category.

“Musical Smart” person possess Musical intelligence. They have a natural capacity to distinguish between various notes, pitches, timbres, tones and rhythms. Composers and conductors, musicians, vocalists and sensitive listeners all fall in this category.

“Body Smart” persons possess Body Kinesthetic Intelligence. They have the capacity to manipulate objects. They have physical skills and a perfect sense of timing. They have a sense of the body-mind-union. Athletes, dancers, surgeons and persons good in crafts fall in this category.

“Self Smart” persons possess Intrapersonal intelligence. They have the capacity to understand themselves as well as the feelings, thoughts and emotions of the others. Psychologists, philosophers and great spiritual leaders fall in this category.

“People Smart” persons possess Interpersonal intelligence. They excel in interpersonal dealings. They understand the sense, the moods and temperament of the people they are dealing with and do so effectively. They can communicate perfectly. Teachers, social workers, actors and politicians fall in this category.

“Nature smart” persons possess Naturalistic Intelligence. They have the ability to recognize various plants, animals, rocks, trees and clouds etc. These people enjoy fishing, hiking, camping and all out door activities. Persons with Naturalistic Intelligence show interest in Biology, Astronomy, Zoology and Meteorology.

“Existence smart” persons possess Existentialistic Intelligence. They enjoy the process of thinking and questioning. They are curious to know about life, death, life after death and the ultimate realities. Aristotle, Plato and Socrates belong to this category of persons with Existential Intelligence.

We need people with every kind of intelligence to make the world attractive and beautiful. All of them may not score the same I.Q, but are nevertheless equally great, in their chosen field of activity.

Find out your “special smartness” and cultivate it to become a successful person in life.
