Can the younger brother be older by age than his elder brother?In Lallus family it looks so - younger brother seems to be older than the elder brother as per voters Identity card - and Lallu says the age as per voters identity is final! These situation are not new! As per my ration card My son was 88 when when I was only 60! He was 33 and to get his age corrected It took nearly 6 months after several visits to Tasildhars office with all documents of proof !

Once the Chief Justice of Madras High court got into problems of his age while holding the office because his younger brother had his Shastiabthapoorthi performed!

In 3/4 decades earlier,everything is possible as no proof at the time of school admission is necessary.
Formalities were completed based on oral declaration.

Now, birth certificates are mandatory and it could be down loaded from net also.

It may be possible if you take the time of fertilization of the ovum - first foetus may be the one deliverd second. and may be considered elder!

Is it the date of birth (different year) which precedes that of his / her biologically elder sibling?

If it is between the twins ONLY this might be the answer.

The second born is the elder sibling and the birth of the first born might be just a few seconds before midnight!

You are nearer to the answer, but it need not be mere seconds it could be several minutes too. Imagine the delivery taking place in a plane or a luxury liner which is crossing the international dateline or different time zone, with the plane or ship crossing over to west from east. Also include the possibility of it being a leap year and the date of birth being on 29th February, now the birth day could be two days apart.

Once the thought about delivery at around midnight kicks in, it is easy to solve. Congratulations.

Where do you put this problem? The real cut off date to be a senior citizen - 58, 60 or 65? -This is old age problem But it is not clarified for so many years and hence age old problem as well
