Theoretically if you do it with Agnikaryam (Homam), she is required. In Kerala Only men do everything, but many other parts ladies needed to ignite the Agni for the Homa. In Rigvedi there is no homam for many as they practice Pani Homam.
Coming to your question By compulsion if she is not able to join, you can perform yourself. Ideal you can check with your senior members of the family or your Vadhyar who does regularly as there may be some other situation of family might be compelling her presence. In general Ideal is to have all members of the family, if situation not permits, you can do it yourself as the "shraddha" is main components in Pitru karyas.
