அசோகவனத்து சீதையை தன் தோளில் தூக்கிச் சென்று ராமனிடம் ஒப்படைக்க எண்ணினார் ஆஞ்சநேயர். ஆனால், ராவணனுடன் நேருக்கு நேர் மோதி வெற்றி பெற்றால் தான், ராமனின் வில்லுக்கே பெருமை என நினைத்த சீதை அவருடன் வர மறுத்து விட்டாள். அதன்படி இலங்கையில் ராம,

ராவண யுத்தம் நடந்தது. ராமனுக்கு வெற்றி கிடைத்தது. இதை சீதையிடம் தெரிவிக்க எண்ணத்துடன் ஆஞ்சநேயர், வேகமாக அசோகவனத்திற்கு ஓடி வந்தார். தேவியின் முன் மூச்சிறைக்க நின்றார். அவரால் பேச முடியவில்லை. ஆனால், ஆர்வமுடன் காத்திருந்த சீதையின் முன் மணலில் "ஸ்ரீராமஜெயம்' என்ற மந்திரத்தை விரலால் எழுதிக் காட்டினார். அதைக் கண்டதும் சீதையின் முகம் சந்தோஷத்தில் மலர்ந்தது.


இதன் அடிப்படையில் தான் , "ஸ்ரீராம ஜெயம்' மந்திரத்தை எழுதும் வழக்கம் உண்டானது. நினைத்தது நிறைவேற பக்தர்கள் இந்த மந்திரத்தை தினமும் 108 முறை சொல்லவோ, எழுதவோ செய்யலாம்.

In vaalmiki ramayana there is no such reference. This may be from Kambaramayana. If so, Hanuman must have written in Tamil only!

I think Tamil of Kambaramayanam must have a good sprinkling of sanskrit words. For that matter even now the officially approved Tamil may have one or two sanskrit words or roots hiding somewhere. What about Karuna nidhi, Jaya lalitaa, kanyaa kumaari, chid ambaram, etc?

Thru 'Jayam', Kambar categorized Hanuman as B, since only Bs might have used Sanskrit in TN in the earlier centuries.

Tamil can survive without Sanskrit's influence, contrary to the other three South Indian languages. It is not affected by Sanskrit's influence.

Of late, Sanskrit words are being used even by NBs to name their children.

It is not known whether Tamil NBs name their children with Sanskrit names in the earlier centuries.

Karuna and Jaya are given names in politics and cinema respectively.
