Ha Ha Ha...I expected this reply..so I just simply wrote interesting to have a lively debate!LOL

Ok>... I read the story...it says that she claims to have a bipolar disorder.

During manic stage of bipolar..the person develops reckless behavior and has an impulse to even be sexually experimental.

That is what she is claiming..she could be telling the truth or she could be lying too.

May be she fancies the guy and is making excuses.

But the case is not too clear if actual sexual intercourse took place or not..so it might appear more like a molestation if and unless there has been full sexual intercourse.

At the same time one should remember that the male body is capable of being aroused even when fully asleep cos the sexual reflex(erection) in the male is a spinal reflex under the control of the parasympathetic nerves from S2,S3 and S4 level at the spinal cord. It does not need to go thru the brain at all.

So this is a weak point in the male body that is a male can be raped even without force..a male can be rape even when he is asleep with a mere gentle touch!

It takes a lot of force to rape a female.

So it is an interesting fact...a male is the 'weaker sex" here!

If the rape is not confirmed then 'attempt' is not an offence….??? I think molestation is also an offence. She reported to have pleaded guilty and is due to be sentenced on June 19th.

True Sir..now I have started to sympathize more for males..they are truly helpless in the real sense.

Its not gender bias here but just a fact that males actually need more sympathy and care from the looks of it.

But sir..now we can also argue this way in the case of rape of males or molestation of males..these could be the reasons:

1) may be the male wore a revealing outfit in the day time and the woman saw that and felt turn on

2)or may be the male was out alone late at night and not escorted by another elder person..so the woman thought the character of this male is not good enough and she took advantage of him.

3)May be the woman saw some porn video earlier and saw male bodies and raped the victim.


So we can conclude that males need to dress decently....they should not wear shorts or flaunt their 6 packs..not to be out alone late at night..otherwise they cant blame a woman for raping them...after all its easier to rape a male!

But there is a trend I notice..that if a female gets raped...blame her and if a male gets raped by a female..blame her again for not having self discipline.

It is an offence as per the existing laws. Section 377 IPC deals with that.

Definition of Sec. 377 IPC: Unnatural offences: Whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment of either description for term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

But, they have realised these laws are harming women more than men. There is physicality in the definition of rape, there is use of power and the victim has a stigma attached to her. If made gender-neutral, rape laws will not have the deterrence value and it will make it more complicated for judges in court. ‘The consequences of rape for a woman are far-reaching. She has to battle social stigma, social mindset. While fixing marriages, nobody asks a man if he is a virgin.’

In the same article Delhi advocate Vrinda Grover is quoted saying: ‘Why should rape laws be gender-neutral? That would be making a mockery of what is actually happening in the country. There are no instances of women raping men. I don’t think men are facing serious sexual violence as women. Consider the brutality and intensity of sexual violence against women. Hope the home minister does not put out a bill that delays or obfuscates discussions on the issue’
