Bengaluru is a wonderful place to work & live! I always like the climate, the amiable and amicable nature of people, the fantastic vegetarian joints for snacks, the green space and the Hindu ethos!

This article reflects the stuff that I shared..There is a small error in % of different communities ..Rest is fact not fiction

I liked the bangalore of the sixties, not the concrete jungle it has become today nor the roads clogged with traffic.people are shouting about apathy of civic agencies regarding piled up garbage
weather changes are abnormal. after a hot day it rained bringing some relief.power cuts are adding to the woes. it is no longer a heavan as projected

i used to live in bangalore in 80's....no real IT boom were started...cubbon park/lal bagh used my best place to visit....ulsoor/

indira nagar used to be tamil brahmin dominations....still nice masala dosa/with mysore cofee was my favorite...i like brigade road/

shivaji nagar to just for window shoppings.....some times tamil movies in theaters....i think i can't afford bengaloru now....

I had been visiting Bengaluru, quite frequently as my daughter lived there for few years and my son is presently living there.

The climate of present Bangaluru, though it is hot, still is better when compared to Sing. Chennai.

One can see the temples at Bangalurua are maintained neatly conveying ‘cleanlinessis divine’.

The interesting thing is they have multi linguistic skill. Once during my visit to Bhoga Nandeeswarar Temple at Nandhi Hills long back, I wanted to purchase whole lot of flowers from a flower vendor and was trying to negotiate with him in my poor Kannada. The vendor coolly replied that I can very well converse in tamil as he know tamil too. Most of Bangalorevaasis know Kannada,Tamil, Hindi and English languages which is their plus.

As for traffic, here, most seems have the attitude of ‘me first’ and they simply throw all traffic rules to the wind and go for a free reckless driving. With poor traffic policing for want of manpower, everyday increasing number vehicles and with highly limited four lane roads, one needs to have more tolerance while driving at Bangalore roads.

Ofcourse, the greenery of Bangalore is slowly diminishing with increasing apartments and the builders are having merry time now.

Though Bangalore is slowly ……losing its charm, still stands as the best place for IT Companies ,etc

For food lovers Bangaluru is a paradise.

Trafficwise Bangaluru is really a night mare. However my second preference to live would be Bangaluru, first being PUNE.

பெங்களூர்: பெங்களூரின் அனைத்து பகுதிகளிலும்இன்னும் நான்கு மாதங்களுக்குள் அரசு இலவச 'வை-பை' இணையதள வசதி அளிக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.இந்தியாவின் சிலிக்கான்வேலி, நாட்டின் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப தலைநகரம் என்றெல்லாம் அழைக்கப்படுவது, பெங்களூர். அந்த பெயருக்கேற்ப தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப வசதிகளை சாமானிய மக்களும் அனுபவிக்க அரசு வசதி செய்து கொடுத்து வருகிறது.

'வை-பை' இணையதள வசதி தற்போது, பெங்களூரின் எம்ஜிரோடு, இந்திரா நகர் சிஎம்ஹெச் ரோடு மற்றும் 100 அடி ரோடு ஜங்ஷன், யஸ்வந்த்பூர் பஸ் நிலையம், கோரமங்களா மற்றும் சாந்திநகர் பஸ்நிலையங்களில் இலவசமாக கிடைக்கிறது. மாநில தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப துறை இந்த வசதியைமேற்கண்ட இடங்களில் கடந்த ஜனவரி முதல் அளித்து வருகிறது. இதுபோன்ற இலவச 'வை-பை' வசதியை இரண்டாம்கட்ட நகரங்களான மைசூர், மங்களூர், ஹூப்ளி, பாகல்கோட்டை ஆகியவற்றிலும் அறிமுகப்படுத்த உள்ளதாக ஐடி-பிடி அமைச்சர் எஸ்.ஆர்.பாட்டீல் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

இதேபோல இன்னும் நான்கு மாதங்களில் பெங்களூரின் அனைத்து ஏரியாக்களிலும் இலவச 'வை-பை' சேவை விரிவுபடுத்தப்படும் என்றும் அமைச்சர் உறுதியளித்துள்ளார்.

'நம்ம வை-பை' என்று இத்திட்டத்திற்கு பெயர். தற்போது பெங்களூரில் 'வை-பை' சேவை அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஒவ்வொரு இடத்திலும் நாள் ஒன்றுக்கு சராசரியாக 800 பேர் இதை பயன்படுத்தி வருகிறார்கள். நகரின்அனைத்து பகுதிக்கும் இந்த சேவை விரிவடையும்போது தடையில்லா 'வை-பை' இணைப்பு கிடைக்கும் என்பதால் பயனாளிகள் எண்ணிக்கை லட்சக்கணக்கில் அதிகரிக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

சாந்திநகர் பஸ் நிலையத்தில் இருந்து
தான் சென்னை, நெல்லை உள்ளிட்ட தமிழக நகரங்களுக்கான தொலைதூர பேருந்துகள் கிளம்புகின்றன.எனவே இங்கு வந்து பஸ்சுக்கு காத்திருக்கும் தமிழக பயணிகளுக்கு இலவச 'வை-பை' வசதி பயனுள்ளதாக உள்ளது.

இச்சேவையை பெற, 'நம்ம வை-பை' சேவை கிடைக்கும் பகுதிகளுக்கு செல்லும் போது, நாம் பயன்படுத்தும் செல்போன் எண்ணை ரிஜிஸ்டர்செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். அந்த எண்ணுக்கு 'வை-பை'க்கான பாஸ்வேர்டு எஸ்எம்எஸ் வடிவில் அனுப்பிவைக்கப்படும்.

IT appears to be a good idea.what would be its utility in a public place.who would use it for which purpose. if it is for work, security would be a concern.my son tried logging on to the network in MG road without successs

Whether its Chennai or B'lore or anywhere in India it is almost the same cos noise pollution is just too high.
Have no idea why people have to honk non stop when they drive...its just deafening and no one follows traffic rules.

There is nothing better than driving on a silent road where people follow rules and no using horn unless its an emergency.

Just staying for a few days in B'lore itself I usually feel as if I am going to lose my hearing.

So frankly speaking Blore is not all that great..its just OK thats all...all I like about it is Samskrita Bharati.

if you compare with delhi, bangalore is far more disciplined. only the roads are not wide enough.also construction of roads , flyovers , metro is very slow and behind schedule. civic admin. is very poor.outsiders are swamping the place and displacing locals in everything. the city is bursting at the seams.matter of time when locals would not be able to take it.violence is not far away.
