Please be and feel proud to be born in this life on this Bharatakandam as a Hindu.

Have any one of the above divine mark. Even the widows can (should) have one, because no where in our Sastras (to the best of my limited knowledge: my revered guruvarya, Ganapadi Shriman Narendra Kaprevarya may clarify /elaborate) it is said that they should be without a mark of divine chandanam or Vibhuti or Srichuranam.
I don’t know since when it was imposed or which sastra / where in them it is said that a widow should not adore turmeric (haldi / மஞ்சள்) & kumkum (குங்குமம்)!!!
This might have been practiced with a divine intention for maintaining sanctity and most probably to show reverence by others for a widow in any civilized society by not interfering in her solitude, unpolluted devotion to god, and surely not to alienate them from the mass - as a few ignorant fanatics think and wrongly practice.
My humble request to all the educated (if one really feels that he/she is educated, not merely having paper degrees only but true to their Atma) to practice and preach that Widows are also mothers, sisters and are the same creation who belong to the 50% of population and essentially to be revered more than any normal female. How a mother or sister or daughter can be an अमड्गलम् for any event that leads to creation or progress or prosperity? Why we do not practice the same for a widower!!!!
Think and let’s change our outlook and practice in reality that goddess Lakshmi remains Lakshmi only whether she is with SriVishnu or alone, and more reverable & adorable, especially when she is alone. All creations, including human (the least populated than all other creations on this earth by god) are born as per their Purva Janma(s) sath- & Dush- karmas and enjoy & suffer on their own. Let’s (having born due to purvakarmas & not getting moksham/salvation) pinpoint and reducible any for experiencing (redeeming in this life) their purvajanma karmas in any form (one is becoming a widow or widower like becoming poor, foodless, sick, failures, etc).
I may be rational in my thoughts and actions to a few pseudo-sanatani but if such a person also thinks he/she can understand how long one can continue in this world as a dhampati? It’s merely an answer / order by time (कालचक्ररहस्यमेव)!!!
Again one will react good or bad as destined by his/her Purva Janma कर्मफलम् only.
I nor you or any or even if Narayana desires, individuals’ कर्मफलम् cannot be changed. That’s what in Vishnupuranam lord Mahavishnu explains SriGaruda for his inquiry on Jeevan and its karma phalam, type of sins and divine justice, as punishments to the sinners.
Infact, this very world and having born as a creation and undergoing dukha and sufferings is itself the narakam (hell / punishment for our bad deeds done in earlier lives).

I got a little distracted in my thoughts. Sorry.🙏
Let me now come back to my main subject under proposed discussion this morning:
