Any scholars, please clarify idealogy on wearing third poonool (sacred thread) by a grahastha.

Third poonool is for uttareeyam or ( upper cloth). The third poonool acts like an upper cloth in case you donot wear anything to cover your stomach or chest in terms of shastra prescribed procedure
