Mukesh Ambani gave 482 crores to his brother Anil ambani to settle his debt with swedish company Ericsson.Non payment

would have lead to Anil getting imprisonment for 3 months on contempt of court.This sent a message to the stock market

and RCOM shares has been rising everyday by 10% hitting the circuit breaker.. Everyday on market opening , the RCOM

shares would rise 10% in minutes . Investors had to be nimble with their fingers on keypad of laptops to make a killing.

Those who were smart and lucky enough made money.

All investors wish for more such instances of brotherly love There is a lot of investor happiness generated due to acts of

brotherly kindness

Mindtree is facing a hostile takeover bid from Larsen and Toubro. Mindtree whose work culture is different does not want

Land T to be their suitor.Employees are sitting on edge and are watching their fate being decided

PSU banks both large and small are jumping up as Govt is likely to recapitalise them or merge weak with strong ones.

Buying shares of PNB , SBI , Bank of india or smaller banks of PSU is better than getting FDs from them.Private sector

banks like Indusind are giving good interest rates for FDs Upto 8.5% for senior citizens.

RBI under the new governor is working hard to please the govt in power. They might lower the Repo and reverse repo

rates to enable banks to lend at lower rates.

Another weekend Sat 27 april 2019.

1.Political election tamasha continues wth three phases over and balance four left.It has been an election with

lot of bad language by all political parties and election commission acting only when prodded by supreme

court.

2.Serial blasts in sri lanka has claimed more than 300 lives.One australian white family of four [couple with two

children] on a holiday got killled .Wife was my daughters colleague in singapore

.They were expats working in singapore and gone for a holiday to srilanka.

So did a few JDs members from india on a holiday after karnataka elections.

Death does not discriminate between colours, races and countries

3.With Trump acting tough on oil exports from iran, oil prices in india are likely to shoot up held in check due to

elections in india.This will lead to increase in petrol and diesel prices and higher inflation ,So tough times are

ahead irrespective of who wins the elections and forms the govt. in delhi.

4. There appears to be a glut of white goods of discretionary consumption. No takers for frig ,TV, ACs .There

is a threat of drought and inadequate monsoon over parts of country.Malls are empty with no serious

buyers and shops with discounts galore.While most are talking of unemployment among educated youth,

IMHO it is only under employment. and all are making a living .Most youth expect the govt to give them

freebies or monthly doles based on degrees they hold or aspire for non existent govt jobs .For the

meritorious top 5% in any field there always jobs .It is only the average and below who face issues. They

want big money with least work.Capitalism has failed this mass of people. Socialism is no solution either.

5 We talk of agrarian distress. With free power and water, fertiliser subsidy and MSP for grown crops

there should be no reason for despair and suicides. Then MNREGA for rural unemployed with promise of

100 days work could not fully help them Now we talk of NYAY scheme promising them minimum income

for good living.Will all this help the rural/urban poor ?. I have a feeling that being poor is a mindset.. Some

like to remain poor and show off their poverty .

6. Tamil Brahmins like to shun materialism and make a show of hiding their wealth putting on a mask of poverty..

They make a show of being persecuted and remain isolated from other castes/sects.Most brahmins have

educated their kids and sent them to other states and countries.I met a vaishnavite prohithar who was

waiting for an

american visa for employment in a US temple. There are oppurtunities for the enterprising few.There are

four youngsters who serve the south indian temple opposite my home. They are given a 2 BHK flat and

facilities for cooking besides a salary.

I have a feeling that most tamil brahmins are not poor There are only some who do not want to work , nor

leave their cosy homes and get freebies to live.They do not have my sympathy.

I agree with your views in general, but I feel that your conclusions are a little harsh.
No one wants to be driven away from their home. TB are refugees in their own country, that is sad.
Maybe They are like Kashmiri Brahmins, so I do sympathize with them. Them not getting a fair share in TN is sad, and they have every right to protest and fight it.

Another weekend may 4th/5th 2017

1. Only more election phases and 5th phase last day campaigning today.Perhaps crucial for bjp as these are

seats won by them in 2014. Some Seats of UP, Rajasthan ,MP are on offer. Must win for BJP. Congress is in

power in MP and rajasthan now. More seats are likely to be won by the gathbandan in UP and congress in MP

and Rajasthan.With heat wave voting is likely to be low in next three phases.Fatigue is setting in for TV viewers.

It has been a nasty election with bad language and character assassination of candidates .Election commission

took some action only after prodding by supreme court.

2. Weather is very unpredictable.With Fani cyclone hitting ,eastern coast is taking the brunt. Delhi has

unpredictable weather.It had storm and huge pouring of water from the skies.I do not know if it is the normal

aandhi and summer rains.It is cool today.

3. Delhi electioneering is yet to pickup. National parties are busy with 5th phase in other states. Only AAP has

started its campaign as usual with its star campaigner using foul language for rivals.I suppose only such

language appeals to its supporters who are suffering high prices bearing the brunt of centre"s

hostility.Demolitions and sealing of unauthorised homes is a fear all live with.Even middle class engages in

house extensions encroaching public spaces.Car parking is on the roads as these houses are designed only

for 2 wheelors and not cars. Most flat owners have multiple cars adding to thee chaos.
