Hope all bogus NGOs get the same treatment and wind up. If some money can be recovered, it will be the icing on the cake.

10/01/2015 07:42:22 NGO loses permission to receive foreign funds - Deccan Herald

The Union Home Ministry has cancelled the permission granted to an organisation under the Catholic Church in Kerala to collect foreign contributions after a probe found that it violated rules.

The Kerala Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (KCCRS) was found to have transferred "almost the entire” foreign contribution it received between May 2008 and February 2012 to another organisation "Jeevana Samridhi”, which does not have the required registration to receive such funds.

The KCCRS has transferred Rs 34,19,944 to "Jeevana Samridhi” in Ernakulam district. "Jeevana Samridhi” is neither registered under Foreign Contributions Regulation Act (FCRA) nor received prior permission for receiving such money. The Kerala Catholic Bishop’s Council (KCBC), the apex body of Catholic Church in the state, recognises the KCCRS.

"The KCCRS had acted as a conduit for transfer of foreign contribution to Jeevana Samridhi,” the Foreigners Division of the Home Ministry said in its order.

Hmmm.... and no splash is made around, by the media, for this "religious" violation ! Wait, they are secular.

The lady from Greenpeace who was not allowed to board flight to UK, is on bail and not allowed to leave. But the media is silent on the bail issue as well.

You may not know this so I am posting it here.

Secularism is the principle of the separation of government institutions and persons mandated to represent the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. One manifestation of secularism is asserting the right to be free from religious rule and teachings, or, in a state declared to be neutral on matters of belief, from the imposition by government of religion or religious practices upon its people.[SUP][ [/SUP]Another manifestation of secularism is the view that public activities and decisions, especially political ones, should be uninfluenced by religious beliefs and/or practices.

Thousands of Hindus prosper under secular conditions, in case you do not know. Maybe you do not care about that.

Counties with Single religion do not do so good, look at Pakistan (which seems to be your alter ego).

I think you better post the definition of "sarcasm" and "irony" as well.

Reg. the highlighted, I dont think you are entitled to comment or make presumptions about my ego or altergo here; a statement which is totally irrelevant and misgives your lofty ideals, if any, should you retort hastily to throw the dagger at an individual level.
