This video is based on one of the old audio clippings of my 'elder' grandmother Vembu Ammal. She used to sing entire mahabharata and ramayana as well as many other samskrt slokas in samskrt as well as in simple tamil. We playfully recorded (when tape recorders made their appearance in Indian market) her chanting of slokas and over a period lost many of them.
