Namaskarams to all elders in this group
This is my first post. We are planning for the upanayanam of our grandkids Krishna and Kedar aged 2006 and 2010.
I just want to know some dates end of May or first week of June.
Also wanted to know about the velli and Swarna poonol.

sir, kindly let me know the vedam you belongs to and the birth stars of the both the grand kids. velli and thanga punal are available in plenty in all gold jwellary shops. for 200 rupees each .

This is best done by consulting your family Vadyar or visting the mutt you belong. This is so as there are variations in traditions. For eg. in our family, poonal is considered as a piety wherein one takes vow to live by begging (Bhavathy biksham dehi) and concentrate on studies (vedas those days and these days vedas and studies)
