Upanayanam on Full Moon day?

Namaskaram. I would like to know if Upanayanam can be performed on a Pournima thithi? In my family there are plans to perform upanayanams to my brother's sons (two of them of same age), and suggested date falls on a Pournami thithi. I do hear from others that it is not customary to perform Upanayanam on Pournami thithi.

upanayanam should not be done on full moon days, as it is not a adhyayanam day.adhyayanam should not be done on the previous and next days of full moon day and also on new moon day previous and next days. and also on krishna paksha ashtami day every month. Also on sthira karanam days upnayanam should not be done.

Only on adhyayanam day upanayanam should be done.
