Marriage is no longer a sacrament but a partnership agreement or contract. It can be annulled on account of the flimsiest cause. Having said that, it will be difficult to know whether there is some hidden financial aspect to these developments; for example, fil and sil may be partners carrying on a business and fil feels that his loss of money would be more unbearable than the loss/ separation of wife.

in today's world,nobody is bothered about 'ooor vaaai' which used to be a source of irritation.owi ng to plenty of oppurtunities now to make a living,'ippadi thaaan vaazhanum' stricture is being contested to ''eppadi vennum naalum vaazhalaam''...i think today's girls are like women in west in the 60's.i know so many divorced women in west who have confided,that wish we both had talked things out or seperated temperorily,so that both could come to our normal senses and behave properly.i personally think,divorce is the very last resort,when its mutual.
