It is an offering to lord Vettaikorumakan in Kerala i.e Shiva temple. This is performed by a Namboothiri family near to Pattambi. Breaking of the 12000 coconuts in one stretch. The coconuts are broken to rhythm of chenda melam. Breaking speed varies according to the kala pramanam. It is broken using both hands with utmost concentration to the thalam. Its worth watching live. It is performed at night after 9pm.
