Thirumavalavan’s temple visit evokes mixedreaction- THE HINDU

On April 16, Mr. Thirumavalavan, the DMK-front candidate for the Lok Sabha elections in Chidambaram, was accorded a grand reception by the ‘Podhu’ Dikshithars of the temple.

The visit of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol Thirumavalavan to the Nataraja temple in Chidambaram has showcased how elections make even politically irreconcilable groups reach out to each other.

politics makes strange bedfellows . Rajnathsingh courted shia clerics in lucknow who told him that he was better than modi

poor guys; whether they like modi or afraid of modi, rajnath told them that modi is the sole pm candidate. for once, clerics' bluff and threat has no effect; and this will continue in future too. muslims cannot claim any exclusive status. it is in their interests to accept modi's leadership, as most of tamilnadu parties have done. modi has clarified that he sees nothing wrong in sonia and others meeting clerics, but will raise his voice if votes are sought using religion.

even communists have toned down their criticism of modi because they know that their falsehood is not taken in by fair minded folk.

In tamilnadu muslim groups supporting J. withdrew support since she refused to take on modi . later on they renewed support only when she committed that she will not support modi after elections.
