Thomas Cook Airlines tells female passenger to 'cover up or leave plane'
A 21-year-old woman was threatened with being offloaded from a flight at Birmingham airport because her clothing was “inappropriate” and could cause offence. Emily O’Connor, a trainee accountant from Solihull, was flying with Thomas Cook Airlines to Tenerife on 2 March. On boarding the aircraft, she exchanged pleasantries with the cabin crew who were greeting passengers, then walked along the aisle to take her seat.

    Saudi Arabia on Thursday resisted growing demands for transparency in the trial of government operatives allegedly behind the brutal murder and dismemberment of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. Turkey, where Khashoggi's killing took place, said Interpol had issued "red notices" for 20 suspects at the request of the Istanbul prosecutor pursuing the case.
