That is too bad, we have group of Calcutta Tamilians on FB and the ex calcuttans have met in Madras, Bangalore, Singapore and Calcutta.. and they all had such good time, we all who could not be there enjoyed the photos and the video very much.. I guess here you don't have that kind of interaction so it is difficult, i don't see a lot of them who were regulars.. :-)

I guess when you come from one place there is the commonality and it bonds everyone and here even though most are tamilians, still all need a little more to have that kind of bonding good enough to meet.. anyway.. take care.. guys and if some people decide to meet have a lots of fun.. :-)

கொடுக்கும் சுவையே தனி .இந்நாட்களில் அப்பள கச்சேரி இல்லையே அப்பள மாவு ருசியே மறந்து விட்டது.

the tiffin variety reminds me to tell about the sevai .elummichai pazha sevai ,thenga sevai ,vella sevai ,paruppu sevai ,thenga pal sevai etc. nowadays even though they like it,they are not ready to under go the hurdle in the process involved .grind the rice to very fine nature, steaming and squeezing etc.they are going for ready made rice noodle which is not giving the original taste.
more killi,pantli maavu ,vazhai poo cola ,avul uppuma ,sweey avul ,puli avul,idly usily etc.

Dear Mrs. Visalakshi Ramani,

Well said.
It is very much true in my case. My wife is a talented cook and love to try new recipes on me without hesitation.
This has fine tuned my taste buds and I am known as connoisseur of good food in my family !

It takes a true rasigan to become a connoisseur of food and it makes his wife watch, learn, experiment new dishes on her beloved husband without hesitation.

Some husbands eat it in the same way whether it is thirattuppaal or
saw dust ( not that any one wil really be served the second item).

That throws a wet towel on the enterprising spirit of the women since all they are going get in response to their efforts is a GRUNT!!!
