Yes it is great. I wrote about Khan academy in an earlier post.
But this TV presentation by Dr. Sanjay Gupta explained the background information, and the man behind this wonderful organization, and his great work.

Salman Khan on CNN - YouTube

The Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization, created in 2006 by American educator Salman Khan, a graduate of MIT. With the stated mission of "providing a high quality education to anyone, anywhere", the website supplies a free online collection of more than 3,000 micro lectures via video tutorials stored on YouTube teaching mathematics, history, healthcare and medicine, finance, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, economics, cosmology, organic chemistry, American civics, art history, microeconomics and computer science.

I think what Sal Khan is doing is very inspirational. Very useful to school kids "any where in the world".

In Sanjay Gupta's piece he came across a very energetic, enthusiastic and charming young man with a sense of humor. Very good for him. He is quite accomplished.

It's a wake up call to all the PhDs! Lol.

I would like to send a check to pay for his services, if he accepts.

:)

When I saw the title of the thread I thought its about Shah Rukh Khan...then I read Prasad ji's post which had a link about Salman Khan..

I really thought its some Bollywood link and then when I read about the MIT grad Salman Khan I felt Wow what a Khan!! God bless him.
