Good one

Kspv sir,

Thanks good one.

There was a time when Hindu was absolute top draw with great correspondents like K K Katyal for politics , C Raja Mohan reporting from US & R Mohan for Cricket.

I used to lap up every bit of what these guys wrote. The paper was quite bold too. I remember reading an article in The Hindu about 10 years ago by Dr Ali Asghar Engineer who broke the lid on casteism prevalent amongst Muslims.

What happened to such true, unbiased journalism ?

It was an absolute pleasure to read R Mohan. I honestly feel there is no one in India who even comes near his class (Nirmal Shekar & Rohit Brijnath notwithstanding).

To explain Mohan's class - Commenting about the weather at Dunedin or some other place which had a mountain overlooking the cricket stadium, Mohan wrote (in my words) - "Locals here say that if you are not able to see the mountain from the ground, it is raining & if you can, it is going to rain" !!!!!

Those were the times.
