Some heat has been generated on debating certain issues primarily because there is no way of objectively arriving at an answer. For example there is no way to prove the soundness of the varna concept unless you have faith in all of what the scriptures say.

It is time, the futility of arguing on them be realized as biases of people don't easily change. I think if issues that can be more objectively discussed are taken up, we can more reliably arrive at the validity and soundness of the ancient concepts.

Personally I think an interesting topic would be, the possibility of a spiritual reality in the light of what is said in the scriptures and the knowledge gained from science
