At eight major consumer internet companies, including Google, Airbnb, Uber and Amazon, technical workers from India, China and Southeast Asia earn roughly 20% more on average than white people or Hispanics and 26% more than African-Americans, according to new data.
The data show less of a difference in compensation between men and women holding technical jobs. The average gap across the eight companies is 5.8% but it is as low as 0.4% at Apple, 1.4% at Microsoft and 3% at Airbnb. The widest gap is at Amazon (12.4%) and Uber (9%), according to estimates from Paysa. The firm tries to help workers figure out what they should be paid, based on the compensation commanded by people who have similar skills, experience and education.

In india it is the start up craze.

Everyone wants to label himself as a start up entreprneur.

I wanted to get my flats painted in two metros.delhi and chennai

I contacted a start up fellow in bangalore who wanted to do ethical business.

I freely offered it to him to work on his terms.

He simply regretted saying he will work only in bangalore.

These guys simply lack enterprise and are not ready to go anywhere for work.

They become choosey and want work in their backyards.

Now I am forced to go to established players who overcharge and work at inflated rates.

These players are only middlemen who want to sell their paint brands and use unemployed daily wage painters paying them a pittance.

I am disappointed with the way indian businesses work.

The middlemen rake in the moolah in every type of transaction.
