Namaste. I would desire to have clarification - is it in order to take palagaram on previous day to amavasya / days in which we perform pitru tharpanam
for pithru tharpanam we need not take palagaram as it will take only 15 minutes maximum to finish tharpanam. for sratham it will take three hours. you should not go to bath room for three hours and also you should not do sratham by holding urine in the urinary bladder. the urge to urinate will ruin your concentration on sratha mantras.
