இவர்களுக்கும் இந்த கோயிலுக்கும் என்ன சம்பந்தம்? இவர்கள் கனவில் ஸ்ரீராமர் தோன்றி திருப்புள்ளாணியில் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட இடத்தில் அர்ச்சா மூர்த்தியாக இருக்கிறேன், அதை அயோத்தியில் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று பணிக்க, ராமேஸ்ரத்துக்குப் பயணித்தார்கள். குறிப்பிட்ட இடத்தில் ஸ்ரீராமர், சீதை, லட்சுமணன் ஆகிய மூவரின் அர்ச்சா மூர்த்தி கிடைக்க, அதை பிரதிஷ்டை செய்ய அயோத்தியில் நிலத்தை வாங்கிக் கோயிலை ஏற்படுத்தினார்கள்.
1900ல் யோகி பாரத்தசாரதி ஆசாரியன் திருவடியை அடைந்த பிறகு நாற்பது வருட காலம் அவர் தர்மபத்தினி சிங்கம்மாள் கைங்கரியங்களைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டாள். அதனால் இந்தக் கோயில் ‘அம்மாஜி’ மந்திர் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
கோயிலில் தமிழில் நாலாயிரத் திவ்ய பிரபந்தங்கள் பேனர் கண்ணில் பட்டது. அயோத்தியா பற்றி ஆழ்வார்களின் மங்களாசாசன பாசுரங்கள். சேவித்தேன்.
தென் திசையிலிருந்து வட திசைக்கு பிரபந்தம் வந்துள்ளது. அதற்கு காரணம் ஸ்ரீராமர்தான். ஸ்ரீராமர் அருள் இல்லை என்றால் நமக்கு நம்மாழ்வாரே கிடைத்திருக்க மாட்டார்.
மதுரகவிகள் அயோத்தியில் இருந்தபோதுதான் வானத்தில் ஒரு ஒளி தென்பட்டது. அதைத் தேடிக்கொண்டு சென்று திருக்குறுகூர் என்ற அழ்வார் திருநகரிக்கு வந்தடைந்து நம்மாழ்வாரைப் புளியமரத்துப் பொந்தில் பார்த்து அவருக்கு சிஷ்யரானார். திருவாய்மொழி நமக்குக் கிடைத்தது. இது அயோத்தியின் பெருமை!
