Dear All
Here is a suggestion. Some of the learned persons have expressed some in depth opinions on various karmas poorva as well as apara karyas. A generalised body of opinions can certainly be generated out of them.
These different opinions and thoughts need to be assembled into a collection which again has to be well moderated in a current day practicable way.
They say Godhanam is important. But how can it be done in a practicable manner when you can not perform it where you are put up. Neither the Vadhyar to whom you give a cow, wants to be burdened with its maintenance.
There are some agreed points like performance of Sandhyavandhanam. While giving such a compilation, a thought should be given for practicality of performance in some places where Vadhyars are difficult to find. We also should understand that Tambrams are living in difficult geographical climates in Canada, U.K. etc. There is a need to dovetail all dharma sastras to the current context and make them understandable to GenX and make them compliant.
I know for certain that there would be criticism as well as acceptance but each debate has brought some well merited thoughts. It is time that we have to make a success out of what we have gathered so far. Of course there would be the odd aberration but let us keep them out and put the conduct within four corners what we can follow.
