The above chart is prepared for easy remembering with some mnemonics. The first box starts with Sq.for 1 and ends with Sq.for 60. Each box has 5 numbers only.
As a learner, some revealations I found in this chart. Those revealations will, I am sure, help you find out new other ways of remembering the Squares.
Basis of constructing the Chart.
- The shape of earth is round divided into 360 degrees. Because each box has 5 numbers only, in 12 boxes 60 numbers accommodated. That is why the 12th box has 60 Sq = 3600.
Revealations
- Backward Diagnol has the Sq.Rt.value ending in 00s and Upward diagnol has 25 ending.
3. The Square of 13 and 14 has strange Sq.value 169 and 196 i.e. 6 and 9 interchanged.
I have found only the above revealations. Some of you may have new revealations.in the normal course. This is because, each one of us would have learnt in our schools and colleges many basic details in Science, Geography, History. Depending upon the information you have in your mind, you can link each Sq.Root Value to a particular information, i.e. object, time, and events / Situations in your own life.
Mr. Krishnakumar, from Chennai is one of the well known Maths Guide (Gold Medalist). He authored a Sudoko book and Word puzzle book.
When he made me realize the importance of keeping in everlasting memory the Sq. root value upto 27, I thought a chart like the above upto 60 numbers will help the present day students.
The purpose is to remember the above Sq.root values in an easy way without mugging up.
Let me know in the normal course how you memorized the above chart.
