‘Mantra Ratnam’, a compilation of certain Sookthas and mantras in Kanva Sakha of Shukla Yajur Veda, in Tamil was released on 31st July 2015, Guru Purnima Day at Shri Yogeeswara Yajnavalkhya Temple, Pallavaram, Chennai after dedication of the same to Shri Yogeeswara Yajnvalkhya, who brought forth the Shukla Yaju Veda (White Yajur Veda) from the Sun God for the benefit of mankind. It was a long-felt need to do the transliteration of the mantras from Sanskrit to Tamil and A.V.Manohar, a Shukla Yajur Vedin and a senior finance professional has carried out this compilation in Tamil with the guidance of some vedic teachers.
The 68 page book has Navagraha Sooktam, Dighbalaka Mantras, Vishnu, Surya, Saraswati, Sri, Durga Sooktams, Purnahuti, Oshadhi, Ayushya, Badra Sooktams besides having Siva Sankalpa Mantras, Arya Dwadasakam mantras and Abhyaroha Japam. Intonation marks to indicate the Swaras provided for each mantra in this book will surely help the chanter.
