Sashtiabdhapoorthi - when to celebrate

I was born on 17 Feb 1956 (Sukla paksha, Ashwini in Maasi Maasam) and not
sure if I should celebrate Sashtiabdhapoorthi in 2016 or 2017. If 2016,
Ashwini comes in Maasi twice, 1st and 27th. Which one is the correct one to
celebrate.

In a month if a nakshatra comes twice then the fybctub will be performed on the later.
it is not as you writhe 27th masi it is 29th masi i.e 12/03/2016 the aswini nakstaram falls
so you can celeberate sastiaptha poorthi on that date.
