Hi,
I have interest to learn the Astrology related study. I am searching for tips or rules which define to finalize the auspicious date to start importance functions. In panchankam, Marriage, grahapravish, vidya starting etc are mentioned. In normal life, people like to know the auspicious time for various other actiivity.

I would like to know general way to define the auspicious time for any good work.

In astrology this part is known as "muhoortta". But without some basic knowledge of astrology, it will not be possible to learn this branch. I will suggest that you search for B.V. Raman's books.

As this thread is in general section my comment from a skeptics view is.

I would like to know general way to define the auspicious time for any good work.

Any and every time is auspicious for all good work, and converse no time is good for all bad work.
You name your own good and bad.

I have opened one thread in share your knowledge "panchangam parka and rasi kattam poda" Every Brahmin must know how to see panchangam and to find out auspicious date. In the templatees I have prepared rasi kattam and typed on them uchcha, neech, aatchi, houses for each planet and also degrees for each rasi and sent e mail tp admin. brahmins.com. and also wrote a P.M. to Mr. Praveen on 19th nov. Hope he is very busy with some other works and has not seen my personal message.

If there is no objection for Mr. Praveen with his help I can give more lessons on this subject.
