Do you know that according to the Section-49-0 of the constitution, if any voter recores that hedoes not want to vote and declares in the form 49, and if the total number of declarations cross 123, the polling has to be cancelld anda repoll has to be ordered on condition that the present contestents cannot contest again.,So this clause has not been given wide publicity by vested interests.?

SUNDARARAJAN.

Shri Sundararajan,

You may well be knowing that elections are not ideal exercises today. If a few hundred voters use form O and thus cause a panel of candidates their chance to win, you can expect retribution for those voters, their families and even all those living in that area grievous losses. The politics today is so ugly. All the parties are of the same hue
எல்லாம் ஒரே குட்டையில் அழுகின மட்டைகள் தான்.

Reply to post#1.
So what did you achieve?
Why do you think that jamming up a badly running system can you improve it. It is just that you can not do better, you want others to suffer.

Propose a solution before you destroy.
Democracy is the best of the worst form of government. Others are downright terrible.

Shri Rajprasad,

The above post of yours is the third in the thread. But since you have not addressed it, a confusion arises whether you are rebutting post #1 or post #2. In case you do not want to address anyone as Shri, Smt., etc., at least you can give the post # to which your reply/comments relate.

Just a suggestion please, so that your comments go unresponded due to ambiguity.

My reference was to original post, post#1

As the king, so the subjects.

Ramarajya is possible only when the king is dharmic.

Possible solutions:

1. Strict qualifications for the contestants.
2. Direct contest between the top two candidates (like finals), to nullify vote division.
3. Adding rejection of candidates option in the final poll.
4. Mid term popularity poll for the elected candidate - but no dismissal
5. Automatic dismissal of 'opportunists' who switch sides after election, or during the trem of the parliament/assembly. The party can nominate another in his place. (cash for votes scam!)

Mr. Sarang, why not a duel to death of the candidates, that way we will have less politicians, another way is only one term allowed. These are possible suggestions (all in jest not to be taken seriously).

They too are humans (barely).

Hello Rajprasad,
My suggestion is we the voters should have power to recall the representative if he indulges in malpracticses,This is waht Anna Hazare wants as one of his demands.
Alwan

In us the voters have the right to recall a representative by collecting required number of signatures. The state has to bear the cost of having a additional voting, but very rarely succeed.

In India the problem is less than 10% of the population is morally honest. We are honest to the extend that we do not get caught. So as we rise up the hierarchy we buy additional protection, so we need to be more corrupt.

We replace one corrupt politician, with another equally corrupt politician.

The corruption is at the moral level, changing cloths is not going to solve the problem.

One term only? Lifetimes's earnings to be made in 4 years, first six months for preliminary study and last six months for consolidation.

Average growth in assets of ministers in the last two years is 3 crores.

Let us say that the wealth of a politician can not be willed or inherited.

All property dealings, registrations, bank bank statement and income tax return must be made visible or published. Even a simple automatic analysis (by software) will bring out the anomalies and pick out goss violations. Transparency will help a lot in exposing the problem.

Still there is as big a parallel economy outside the system.
