With two other new rules RBI has said minors' over 10 yrs can operate their bank a/c. Though this sounds like progressive freedom, it is pregnant with problems for parents. Whether to say the glass is half empty, or half full will be an individual's experience. Catch them young or spoil them young. Although science has shrunk the world, it has distanced people - particularly kith and kin - from each other. The child has had an opportunity to face parents seeking monetary help. Now... let us see what happens? I think they will become independently dependent!
