sir - 'RATHA' in sanskirt means chariot. 'saptami' means seven. 'ratha sapthami' is a famous festival in orthodox temples, particularly in tirupathi, where god turns up in all streets around the temple to see the devotees, in seven vaganaas daily (vehicles) on the chariot on seven days.one day, sun will be escorting the god , and the chariot will be decorated forming sun as background. one day moon god. similarly totally seven days, seven vaaganaas.

arka patra is known for removing poverty. i.e why arka pillaiyar is made out of roots of arka (erukku). maha lakshmi kadaksha will be cherished to the persons who are taking holy bath on ratha sapthami day with rice, arka leaves. those who are having unknown sins, that will be vanished out of this bath.
