Padarasam (mercury) is know to be one of the purest and the best metals as per vedas and shastras, the puranas describe the pooja of Padarasa Shiva lingam to be very powerful and boon granting... I want to learn from learned members of this site what are their views on "how to worship a padarasa shiva lingam" ? As padarasam is posionous in its original state, through a lot of steps using herbal medications the padarasam is made in a solid state and given the shape of lingam, but scientifically can abhishekam be done to this lingam...can these abhisheka liquids be consumed?
