Self-proclaimed god-woman Radhe Maa has been caught in a controversy after a woman named her in a case of dowry harassment on Thursday.

According to a leading English daily, Niki Gupta, in her complaint to the Kandivali police, has alleged that her in laws harassed her for dowry and assaulted her at the behest of Radhe Maa. Naming seven members of her husband's family in the complaint, including her husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law, the woman said she was also asked to do menial jobs at Radhe Maa's house. However, the woman's husband has denied all the allegations and said it was merely a matrimonial dispute and that the matter is subjudice in court.
A statement posted on Radhe Maa's Facebook page said that "..the reports are full of inaccuracies, unsubstantiated allegations, and rumours that have no basis in fact."
Meanwhile, Radhe Maa has also been caught in a separate controversy after pictures of her posing in a mini skirt started doing the rounds on social media.

The complaint accused Radhe Maa of instigating the woman's in-laws and husband to harass her for dowry. On Saturday, cases were filed against seven people including the woman's husband, as per the orders of a magistrate court. None of them have been arrested yet.

The woman was quoted saying: “My husband and in-laws used to say I had not got enough jewellery and cash from my parents.” She also said that she had been tortured. Her lawyer, Kshitij Mehta said the court wasn't taking cognizance of the matter, while senior inspector M Powar of Kandivali police station said an enquiry will be carried out in the matter.

Dwarkapeeth Shankaracharya Swami Swarupanand Saraswati has demanded that Sachchidananda Giri, the businessman-turned-ascetic, and sadhvis Trikal Bhavanta and Radhe 'Maa' be restrained from participating in ceremonial 'Shahi Snan' (royal bath) in Nashik Kumbh Mela.
The statement of Shankaracharya, camping at the pilgrimage town of Trimbakeshwar near here, came days after Sachchidananda, who was given the title of 'Mahamandaleshwar' last week, was restrained by Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad President Narendra Giri from visiting the holy fair in the wake of the controversy over his alleged involvement in liquor trade and criminal activities.
"Sadhvi Trikal Bhavanta of 'Pari Akhara', Radhe Maa of Mumbai and Sachhidananda Giri have no right to participate as ascetics in the shahi snan and should take bath as civilians," the Shankaracharya said while interacting with reporters yesterday.
While first shahi snan, the ceremonial bath of sadhus and mahants, falls on August 29, the other two will be held on September 13 and 25.
Mahant Gyandas, who also claims himself to be the President of Akhil Bhartiya Akhada Parishad, also endorsed the demand made by the Shankaracharya.
"The entry of pretenders is rising in the sacred arena of the sadhus and mahants. Trikal Bhavanta, Radhe maa, and Sachchidananda who is a liquor professional should be restrained from participating in 'shahi snan'," he claimed.
In an oblique reference to the controversy over awarding of 'Mahamandaleshwar' title to Sachchidananda, earlier known as Sachin Dutta, Gyandas said the credentials of an individual should be cross-checked before allotting him the religious title.
Awarding of the title in Allahabad on Guru Poornima festival on July 31 had sparked off a controversy as Dutta was said to be owner of a beer bar in the NCR region and alleged to be named in an FIR lodged in Punjab.
Referring to Radhe 'maa' against whom an FIR has been lodged in suburban Mumbai, Gyandas said she had already been boycotted by 'Juna Akhara' and being restrained from taking royal bath.

I agree and I do not agree! I agree because we should not pronounce a person as guilty in haste, just based on someone's complaint. I do not agree because I firmly believe that the real god or Iswara or whatever name we may give to the force behind this universe, just cannot be equal to any one person or stone/clay/wooden/marble idol; in fact this real god is within each one of us, man & woman and brahmin males have been ignorantly uttering "aham brahmAsmi" or "brahma Eva aham asmi" three times everyday, at least for a few centuries, if not more, without caring to know the real import of these short sentences.

The Yajurveda declares "na tasya pratimA asti" (= there is no likeness of THAT, meaning there can be no 'likeness' of THAT), thus making it clear that idol worship is of no use. This is echoed in one of the upanishad). Hence it is utterly useless to imagine any living person as God.

The Chance of success as a Mataji /Guruji is very ripe if you know astrology , sanskrit , some spiritual texts like Gita, lots of Bhajans and most important of all psycholgy , NLP etc . Many people are either in distress or greedy for more and these people are excellent customers for many Matajis and Gurujis .

I feel I can give Radhe-Maa a run for her money. My fashion sense is better and I can use my Sanskrit knowledge to some use.

She runs free medical services in her ashram..I have one advantage..I am a doc myself..so it would create a better scenario a Mataji examining patients herself.

Now I know which country I would stay after retirement!

We have now also another Swami Sarathi in controversy in odisha when he was spotted in lounging in hyderabad hotel lobby in jeans and T shirts with a woman. Allegations swirled that

he had spent a week with her and was having an affair.He also denied allegations that he had non veg food and alcohol in hotel.

He was apparently originally Santosh kumar Raula who had disappeared for in 1985 for 7years to return as a spiritual guru with a huge vote bank supporting BJD ,the
