Indeed R.K.Laxman was a genius. He was one of the few world class cartoonists India has produced.

I can't forget this cartoon:
A famished, poorly clad villager, his wife, his two young children fighting with each other and his dog yawning and in the background a field without any crop. A Govt. Babu very politely tells a visiting Minister with Gandhi cap and a broad smile on his face: "sir, they cooked and ate all the hybrid seeds we gave them free". The common was a witness standing nearby.

He taught people to enjoy life as it unfolds. He was entertaining us all. And those who entertained him continue to entertain us too.
