Query regarding temple donation

Namaskaram,
My grandma passed away on Mar 8th, if we want to donate something to temples can we do that ? or we should wait for atleast 1 year to do all the things that relate to temple donation. Please throw some light on this.

you can give donation to temples. only you should not go inside the temple.

The moment you thought of giving donation to a temple which is a good one, in my opinion you may do so liberally as you might have completed Kirekkiyam also by now
