Punyahavachanam: It is Generally for the New Born brought home with new mother or subsequent delivery of child with mother from the maternity home to house
Mostly some 7th day of other day they are given holy bath and this Punyahavachanam is performed. There is no Homan but recitation of veda chanting seeks the wellbeing blessings of God. The holy veda invoked water is sprinkle on the new born and mother and all around the house with theertham also given to intake.
Other than date on any during grahanam after it's over it may also by the household themselves.
