Procedure for Deeparadhanai - Is ringing bell wrong at that time

It is customary to chant the Manthra beginning with the words "Somavaethasya Rajyamadatthe" while doing the Karpoora Neerajanam. Recently one of our family priests said that if the bell is rung during Karpoora Neerajanam the lord runs away. I have seen for ages the ringing of bell by senior pandits and purhots. But nowadays vaideekas themselves are holding a different opinion. May I invite the cognoscenti to participate and clear the cloud in respect of this. How Lord can run away while he is being propitiated. Is there any story in this respect.

Generally the bell is rung at the time of Karpoora Neerajanam as a matter of inviting attention and making people silent and seeking devotion.

Bell must be ringed. Lord will never go away. only asuras and pithrus will run away if bell rings.bell puja is there. god is with in yourself.By telling mantras god is coming out from you and in the finishing of pooja you have to put back the god in yourself.
