[COLOR=#4B4B4B !important]Alappuzha: A KSEB engineer with several innovations to his credit has come up with a multi-functionary Android app that will alert you to the hazardous LPG leakage.​
[COLOR=#4B4B4B !important]Baiju's App of K. C. Baiju of Cherthala here uses cost-effective and small-size sensors that can be easily attached to the headphone socket. While a person passes through a sensitive area, the app will send visual as well as audio alerts.​
[COLOR=#4B4B4B !important]The app can also detect hazardous AC voltage without any physical contact, the ferrous material, infrared radiation and temperature status of electrical circuits and function as a breathalyzer. "The app is available on Google Play Store since February 21, and sensors will be made available in the market at a low price," he said.​
[COLOR=#4B4B4B !important]Mr Baiju, who is currently working in the innovation section of the KSEB, had shown interest in developing innovative electronic systems. He was selected for the Kerala State Energy Conservation Award last year.
