Need guidance on missing a step for my mom's karma

Hi,

I was planning to do asthi visarjan in Kashi for my mom and did not know that I was supposed to immerse part of asthi in US before doing the Karma (9-13th day). I did the asthi visarjan after 6 months in Kashi. Is there any prayachittam I can do to rectify the mistake? I want to make sure my mom's final rites are benefiting her to get to the next level and not leave her distressed.
