My friend's son settled in USA , He wants to perform Brammopadesam for his second son at USA. Before that he wants to perform Nandhi function before the muhurtham dsy It seems one sastrigal advised him that parents only (both are alive] should perform nandhi. Another sastrigal at USA said that son can perform Nandhi in the absence of his parents on that day or on previous day depending on the muhurtham timings , Parents are unable to visit USA now
May I request this august forum to give the correct position
1. Function at USA. Then Can father perform Nandhi function with aathu sastrigal at Chennai one day before the poonal function at USA, since he is unable to go to USA now .The muhurtham likely to be fixed on 23 Feb /2023 or Feb 17th 2023at USA.
2.Can the son perform Nandhi function when father is alive at USA itself in the absence of his parents.
