On May 23, 2025, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) asked the lead archaeologist, K. Amarnath Ramakrishna, to revise and resubmit his comprehensive 982-page-long report on the first two phases of the Keezhadi excavations. The ASI communicated that changes were suggested by two external experts who vetted the report to enhance its scientific accuracy and authenticity. Indologist and author K. Balakrishnan studies the Indus Valley Civilisation extensively and its connections to the civilisations in South India.
