[h=1]Lord Hanuman Summoned To Court In Bihar[/h]After Lord Ram, it is his most ardent devotee’s turn to face the law.

A lower court in Bihar issued a summons against Hanuman on Wednesday, asking the monkey-god to appear before it in connection with a road-side temple in which he is the deity.

The court’s summons was pasted on the idol of Hanuman in the said temple which is situated in Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district, IANS reported.

The summons was issued by the sub-divisional magistrate in Rohtas after the Public Works Department filed a complaint of encroachment. In its complaint, the department requested the court’s intervention to remove the ‘Panchmukhi’ Hanuman temple saying it obstructed vehicle traffic.

Bajrang Dal activists and local Bharatiya Janata Party workers have opposed the court notice to Lord Hanuman and demanded its withdrawal.

Imagine, in case if the ‘Panchmukhi’ Hanuman against whom summons are issued, appear in person in the designated court,
on the date of hearing........how
would 'He" be treated by the court?

Made to stand in the witness cage or allowed to sit on "His tail" as was done in the court of Ravana !!

This is disrespectful....to paste a summon on an Idol.

I am sure there are better ways to issue a summon to the temple.

Well lets see what happens..hopefully on the day of hearing a huge monkey enters the courts and creates havoc..after all its the Chinese Lunar Year of the Monkey this year!

All over India, there are numerous places of worship by Muslims and Christians - which obstruct traffic. Will the authorities / courts apply the same yardstick and paste the summons on the altar ?
